Nicolaj Rasted is a Danish producer and songwriter – a well established name on the music scene. Nicolaj started his music career in 2006 at The Lobby Recording Studios owned by his uncle Søren Rasted from AQUA. Alongside producing for AQUA the two formed the duo Hej Matematik which became a huge domestic success. Their debut album went #1 with the smash hit ‘Walkmand’ that received 2x platinum and a ‘Hit of the Year’ award. From their second album ‘Alt Går Op i 6’, the single ‘Party i Provinsen’ was an immediate success and received platinum as well.
Rasted has worked with several Scandinavian pop artists as a songwriter and producer. He produced and co-wrote Stine Bramsen’s (Alphabeat) EP ‘Bruised’ and album ‘Fiftyseven’ which received gold as well as the huge radio singles ‘Prototypical’ and ‘Karma Town’. In 2019 he co-wrote several pop releases – for example the smash hit ‘För Stora För Den Här Stan’ for Swedish Anis Don Demina & Mapei which recently went platinum, and Danish Dopha’s breakthrough hit ‘Happy For Me’ that stayed top10 on the Danish airplay chart for 10+ weeks.
As the electronic alias ‘Bravour’ he has recorded and produced a cover version of the brilliant ‘SexyBack’ by Justin Timberlake which is soon to be followed up by a bold new take on 50 Cent’s ’In Da Club’. He has also engaged in a collaboration with the Danish top DJ Faustix from which the single ‘Technodad’ was released this summer and more singles are to be released later in 2020.
